Additional Discounts for Additional Delays

This is one thing that Im happy about Dell, the fact that each time there is a delay, they are willing to take another $100 or $200 off your order. That is all that is keeping me from cancelling.

Are those discounts before or after the $1177 price?

 

probably before, otherwise he would have a $400 1520

 

Do you have to really push for the discount since Ive talked to dell I dunno how many times and they haven't offered any sort of compensation other than free next day shipping and expediting the order. I'm calling right now to get some dough back lol.

 

well u just ordered urs on the 27th. i doubt that they'll give u anything unless urs gets delayed.

 

yea i know i just ordered my vostro but I helped my sis buy a 1520 back on july 9th and its already been delayed twice and ship date is the 28th now. So im a nice bro and want to help her out.

I thought the "delayed discounts" may have been subtracted from his original total.

 

Wow I pretty much get the same thing again...free next day shipping and an expedited order. Like there all the same and it seems I can't get anything else and I tell them that its frustrating and what not and its been the second delay already. I also did mention other people were being compensated for the delay but there all blah blah blah. So I dunno how the hell you did it lol.

 

gotta be after discount no way they would go that low on that notebook.. they would tell you to cancel before they did that..

 

My original total was $1877 before tax

I used two coupons, one for $350 and one for $150 - There was no tax because I had it shipped to a tax free state. After the first delay I had them change the shipping to California. They discounted me another $116 so the new tax and "environmental fee for california" wouldnt change my price. And today they discounted me $200 for the 2nd delay.

So my final price is $700 off the original pre-tax price. And they discounted me $116 more after tax it would be the same as no tax. Thats how I end up at $1177 after tax.

All you have to do is say "Ive been delayed twice, and everyone is getting a few hundred dollars off for each delay, and I want this discount too, or I am cancelling right now."

They are really very helpful if you explain how long you have waited. They are people too.

 

Lol awsome, if they delay my order I could probably buy an aditional monitor so I can stop worrying about my WSXGA+ and gaming. Then again... I don't want a delay.

you got really REALLY LUCKY TRUST me they are not just giving away a couple hundred dollars on top of your original discounts. could you pm me more info like the rep you spoke with etc.. it may help if i try this as well..

 

In the UK i couldnt even get a free bag or free shipping or anything on my original delayed order I was gonna say "Well that just fine!! Ima cancel right now! unless you give me a discount" But she probably wouldve said "ok fine" and since i cant actually get a cheaper high spec laptop anywhere else i had to give in.
