Well I ordered my 9300 wednesday night (it's still in prduction-no kitting yet) and I was wondering, since the chasis is the same as the m170, is there an opening for the subwoofer underneath the laptop? Can one be installed?

Like lacessit said, there is a subwoofer installed. I believe it might be the same one that is on the m170, but not 100% sure. To me, i don't know a difference with it, so i turned mine off. That's just my opinion though.

It is the same subwoofer - the Dell i9300 and the XPS M170 share the same chassis, and with the exception of the lights and extra flare on the XPS, there is virtually no hardware difference betweent the two.
