I love my 1530, it's just fantastic for what I do. Except one thing: no VGA screw holes to secure a VGA cable to the laptop.
I'm in video/lighting production (concerts/conferences) on the side and do a lot of video dj-ing, and having the VGA cable just sitting there scares me. I like having my laptop at Front of House next to the lighting console, and sometimes the cable I'm plugging into the computer is pretty rigid and wants to become ungplugged..

Wondering if anyone has added screw holes to their computer, or if not, have any suggestions on how to go about it.

    TIA!

is it possible to use the hdmi rather than the vga for your video feed? depending on your screens/projectors, it could give you a much crisper image and the hdmi cable sits more securely in its port.

Not usually, most everything I do is VGA. If I could find a cheap hdmi->vga adapter, that would work. I would just keep it with me all the time.

The industry standard - Gaffer Tape!

Or maybe a couple of thin strips of velcro stuck top and bottom of the machine with opposite side attached to the cable?

Really they make it with out those holes on purpose. It is dangerous to have it on a laptop as if you forget its attached you could rip it out of the socket or pull the monitor down.
