    Hi,

Recently I bought inspiron i15rv-477blk. Now my next step is to add SSD. If possible, I'd like to replace CD/DVD drive as I don't need it. If it is not possible, I will have to replace hard drive. Could somebody please point me to the instructions or at least explain what parts, besides SSD itself, I need to buy? Which SSD would you recommend? Google did not come up with anything useful, mostly sale ads and reviews.

The notebook does not have to look pretty at the end, as long as works as desires and does not fall apart.

    Thank you for your help
    Dmitry

You don't really need the kit... you could just get the caddy and the bare drive.

    Hi,

I figured this out after I got home with the new drive and hands itching to install it. Unfortunately I used pricematch with a coupon from a different store, so redoing the whole purchase would take a lot of time and effort. On the bright side, I got a cable that I may use in the future.

Thanks everybody who helped me out.
