9 cell will have more power then the 6 cell how many watt hours(WH) does it have and it all depend on what charger you use to charge it, To get faster charge times. And battery life it depends settings you have (powersaver for better battery life) and components. I have 93WH battery for my m6500 (i5-520m/Firepro) and I get just over 3hrs on battery doing nothing/reading/typing at 0% brightness but i get 2 hrs and 30 mins watching 1080p movie at 30% brightness and about 45 mins gaming at 100% brightness. But you computer would use less power, you can also add it up my use 30 watts max(internal gpu disable) and AMD gpu use 55w, and lcd 30w the main power draw components, now a i3 proablably use about 25wand lcd 20w max assuming you have standard 720p panel vs my RGB 1200p panel. So estimating you'll probably get 5hrs doing nothing and around 2 hrs on load. And also getting a new larger compacity battery take more time to charge vs you old one. And make sure its fully compatible with your laptop
