I ordered my Inspiron 1520 along with some accessories on 8/6. Laptop is set to ship on 9/5 and is currently in boxing. I ordered the easy transfer cable, a mouse, spy sweeper, and a flash drive. That's all in a separate order for some reason. Order status says that the accessories are in preproduction and won't ship util 9/26.
Is Dell so screwed up and backed up right now that it's taking almost two months to get a mouse and a few cables shipped too?

Well, it could be worse if the accessories and laptop were in the same order, then the laptop would be pulled back by delay as well =P

I ordered a mouse and Belkin sling bag with my laptop. I received the mouse on Friday, and the laptop shipped, due this week. The bag, however, is still "In Production."

I ordered a 4GB flash drive and that's in preproduction too...says ESD is 9/24?!? I'm wondering if they're really that backlogged or just stuck in the checkout line at the nearest Best Buy, because there should be no "Build" stage involved with an accessory.

Exactly. I'd love to cancel that order as it's separate and just go to Best Buy and get all the stuff, but it says the LoJack for laptops is in that order too. And from what I understand you can't really modify an order, you have to cancel then reorder.
Is there some sort of software for the LoJack? I figured it would all be preinstalled seeing as I paid for it for three years with the system. -

I just got a mouse and the Computrace along with my 1720... but as soon as that shipped, I also received word that the mouse and the computrace had shipped as well, but the computrace seems like it takes a bit longer to get there than the mouse...
Accessories taking awhile to ship too?
