    Just let me know something about dell vostro 1400 battery life
    that how long does it work?
    Since I decided to buy vostro but I am a little worried here bout its battery life lest its work for short time.
    and recommend me too it is a good laptop or nope?
    I hope you're advice'd be really convenient for me in this regard.

    2 hours and 20 minutes give or take while watching a DVD. That looks pretty damn good. I get at least 3 hours on this thing through normal word processing and non-intensive activities. Probably more if I dimmed it down a tad.

    Using a 9 cell battery, power saver mode on, and half brightness while surfing the net, I get just over 6 hours.

    For casual web browsing, 6-cell runs for 3 hr and 9-cell runs for 5 hours for me at 30% brightness setting. It will run longer in word processing with WiFi off and shorter for media functions.
