I just got a good deal on a Studio 1555 off of ebay without a backlit keyboard.

Is there anyway to order a backlit keyboard and swap it out?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes there is. Send an email to Fabio_Mejia[at]dell.com and tell him you want to order a backlit keyboard for the 1555. He will get some personal info (just service tag, and stuff like that; nothing too personal) and get back to you with a Quote Number, which you can use at a link he will send you to order the part.

It cost me $42.00 and some change including shipping and tax.

He gave me his permission to post his email address here for anyone who's interested.
