    woot! just installed it, now my gfx card shows 4500/5100 series. cant tell yet if tehres any performance boost tho

    No these are not official.(there not on AMDs driver support site and there not WHQL from MS yet)

    AMD/Ati has never done this before with a driver release.

    I think AMD/ATI has been feeling the pressure from the gaming community about a lot of driver issues with the 5xxx desktop series and with Nvidia releasing a new product this month the pressure is on!! So their thinking "outside" the box to get people onboard with their product.
    To keep the consumers wanting more they keep releasing (leaking?) drivers with MAJOR performance boost in latest games,mobility support,Third party 3D support,Eyefinity corrections ... they are really pushing their Driver Team hard.

    I think the Official 10.3 driver will be released the 24-26th of this month.It will coincide with Nvida's release of Fermi (GF 470,480) but that is just my opinion I could be wrong ;)
