I had read that using the OMEGA drivers for the ATI Radeon that I could experiment with OC'ing the X1400 in my E1505.

I've downloaded and installed the drivers, but there doesn't seem to be any overclocking options anywhere. The "ATI Tray Tools" app fails to start, stating "Unable to retrive (sp) information from BIOS."

Is anyone using the Omega drivers to play with OC'ing their X1400 Mobility card (in a Dell notebook)?

    Thanks!

You gotta download Powerstrip and tweak it from there!

Do I need the Omega Drivers if I'm going to use powerstrip?

I just uninstalled the Omega Drivers as they didn't seem to give me anything more than the official ATI drivers.

I'll go round up the powerstrip stuff.

1000 mark boost without overclocking? Just by replacing the Dell driver
    with Omega drivers?

    Thanks!

Hey thanks to the OP for posting this.. as it was a question I was wondering too.

My E1505 with the X1400 is about to come in. (Along with a 2nd one with a x1300)

Was wondering.. what is the best setup and driver to use. If it is indeed omega, which file? What tweaks, anyone able to post a quick faq or guide from fresh out of the box and what to do and get to get the ideal performance? Thanks. =D
