    Would it work? Or would I be better off with nVidia cards? I've heard the best (and the worst) of both cards, so I come here to see what you professionals have to say (This is for an E1505).

    Assuming you mean the x1400 and 7300:

    The x1400 is the better card. No question.

    Whether or not it will be able to run the kind of games you want to play at the settings you demand is up to you.

    If you seriously game, or consider yourself a serious gamer...you might want to look elsewhere (or wait a month or so) for a laptop.
