    ATI Catalyst Center not working after driver update on 1747

    Hi,

    Sorry to bother folks with this nuisance, however, I updated my ATI Mobility Radeon 4650 drivers via Dell's website to 8.65 and ever since, the Catalyst Control Center refuses to run. I politely click on it, the machine thinks for a while and then, rather rudely, simply ignores my request.

    As for my specs, I have the privilege of running a Studio 1747 with a 64-bit Win 7 Professional. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    When updating drivers I always like to uninstall the previous driver(all parts), restart, then install the new driver, and restart again.

    Ah, I installed 10.1, alas it didn't work either. Then I uninstalled the whole thing, installed 10.1 again and now it appears to work.

    So a big thanks to both of you. :)

    There is also a 10.3 beta version of the new driver set which is flowing around. Uninstall first though.
