Okay I just want to capture everyone's operating GPU temps who have the ATI 4570 GPU. It does not matter what laptop as I want to see whare are typical ranges. If you have the 5470 then you can post that too.
I wish ATI would I am cocnerned that it may fail soon. Had to go through the Nvdia 8400M GS failure not too long ago.

    Studio 1558
    ATI 4570
    Plugged in (not on battery)
    Room temp ~23C
    Idling temp 47C
Normal operation 50-55C (I think used to be 47-50C a few months back)
Watching HD video through a video player 66-73C
Watching normal video through a video player 63-68C
If I play Starcraft II temps go as high as 86C (range is 82-86C)

I have 11.2 driver from ATI that was released mid Feb 2011.

Normal operation is surfing or doing normal tasks but not watching any type of video

While Vuze is downloading a file and watching a HD (720p) Video for 5 minutes.

Its seems to just jump to those temps and remain there +/- 2 degrees Celsius

Your temps are pretty stable. Mine rise 10-20C depending on what type of video is playing. For HD they go close to 70C
