    Hopefully Asus will rescue the Inspiron line from the silver and white bumpers.

    For Dell, they're probably just carcasses (bottom shell with mainboard installed). Dell does a majority of the assembly at their plants due to customizing.

    Dell also has a notebook assembly plant in Ireland.
