Just noticed that there seems to be a massive paranoia regarding on getting an AOU screen. Well, I myself has a AOU screen 1280 x 800 and guess what the quality is perfect!!! NO LightBleed (I was surprised to see how black it was, together with glossy screen I can see my own reflection, as if it was turned off even on the edges), Graininess...well you can say whatever you want but I think my screen looks gorgeous. Now to all the AOU haters out there.... you guys need to take a break.. :)

You also need to look closer at the threads. Its primarily the wxga + screens that are getting affected. Your 1280 X 800 screen is WXGA. Look through the threads and see. Its about the crappy WXGA +'s So unless you get a Dell with a nice WXGA + screen, I don't think the ones with crappy ones will take a break as you say.

There is a huge difference in what it takes to make WXGA and WXGA + screens. WXGA + screens have had issues for quite some time. Its the higher res ones that are harder to make.
