    ANOTHER PROBLEM!!! spyware programs and other pgorams don't work with the internet

    another problem and i cant stand it. whenever i try to update spybot and adaware my 9300 just freezes. this also happens to some other programs where you connect to the internetim assumming its because of sp2 but can someone please help me. i appreciate all this help from you guys.

    also whenever i try to go to windows task manager and end the program it doesnt let me. i htought if it was a fesh install it would work fine but it doesnt seem like it is. i installed sp2 to get rod of those driver problems and now this happens.

    i have windows xp pro sp2 installed and dont have any problems.

    what are all the programs you have installed.

    What firewall are you using? Do you have XP's firewall on? Do you have a 3rd party firewall?

    it would just freeze. i was using norton. i never did like service pack two so i justreformatted and i dont need the extra stuff that comes with sp2. i dont have it on my desktop and i wont have it on now.

    it's very possible that xp is having problems with any # of apps you're using if you don't have sp2 installed, including norton, your wifi config app, etc.

    is there a particular reason you don't want to install it?

    well i had it and this was making these programs just freeze and i disabled firewall and it still wouldnt. i reformatted and just installed everything on windows update except for sp2 and it works fine. i have notron and i think this is better than any inhancements wont work.
