I am trying to dual boot DELL Studio-15 with Win-XP & Vista.

This Notebook BIOS has two options for hard-disk. AHCI or IDE. Vista got installed with AHCI option. For installing XP, I had to change BIOS option to IDE.

Now, while dual booting, I have to swap these settings before choosing XP or Vista. That means I have to select IDE option to boot with XP and AHCI option to boot with Vista. Where could I find the correct Intel Matrix Storage Manager Drivers for XP ? And how to install them ?

In Vista Device Manager I have following driver :
ICH9M/M-E 4 port Serial SATA AHCI Controller- 2929
In Win XP, Device Manager it shows :
    ICH9M/M-E 2 port Serial ATA Storage Controller 1 - 2928

You have to maunually install the AHCI driver in xp...just browse to the .inf file when installing drivers through device manager.

AND...try a search on the forum first! This topic has been covered a LOT
