hey guys, i have a studio 1555 i purchased back in july that's been working swimmingly except for one problem. the ac adapter has always made these clicking noises but i have managed to ignore it because i don't want to deal with the problem. now however, the blue ring light around the plug is flickering on and off as well as the clicking noises still coming from the ac adapter brick.

i finally gave in and chatted with dell support this morning because it's really bothering me now and they said it's either a problem with my motherboard or the ac adapter itself. they send they're sending me a new ac adapter but if that doesn't fix it i'll have to send in the whole computer for 15 business days. is anyone else having this problem? and how could the clicking noise coming from the ac adapter be a problem with the mobo?

btw i have the 512 mb radeon 4570 so i have the 90 watt adapter. thanks in advance!

The Best thing to do would be to get another adapter. Better now than having to deal with a short out or a surge that could bugger something up.
