    AC Adapter Help Needed

    Inspiron 1150 stops processing when connecting the AC Adapter. It charges the Battery but the processor will not run unless the AC Adapter is disconnected. It immediately locks up when connected. I tried a different Adapter and it did the same. Any advice appreciated.

    Since both adapters are failing, it's probably a motherboard fault or an issue with your power connector. Sometimes hardware just dies like that when it gets old; there's not much you can do. Strange that it's still charging the battery, though... do you have any other Dells with which to test those power supplies?
