Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
This is the 1537 motherboard (assuming it's the one you want):
The GPU is at the bottom of the U in the upper right.
This is the 1537 thermal solution. The GPU is under the heatsink with a 1 pointing to it. -
Thanks when i get home iam gonna unscrew number 1. and see what its like. My studio 1537 doesnt have that copper pipe on the gpu. It just the metal heatsink. Also what is at the end of the copper pipe below the processor. What chip is that?
Thanks buddy and rep for you -

The chip behind the CPU is the northbridge; it's a 45-Series chipset on the 1537.

Wow I never knew that was the "northbridge." May I ask you what does the northbridge do? Does every laptop have that kind of chip.
THANKS MAN I LEARNED SOMETHING TODAY.
EDIT::::: I googled it but i would like to have a simpler definition. Anyways if I change the cpu do i have to change northbridge. Also does the northbridge have thermal paste on it. because it does have a heatsink on it. -

The northbridge is basically an IO chip. In the case of the 45-Series chipsets, it connects the CPU, GPU, memory, and southbridge via FSB links. They generally produce enough heat to warrant a dedicated/shared thermal solution, but are most often connected with a thermal pad. You don't have to change the chipset to change your CPU; you can't change the chipset in the first place since it's soldered to the mainboard.

just wondering how would I remove the thermal pad. Does it peel of or I have to use alcohol. Also is a thermal pad better than a thermal paste?
You said IO CHIP. What IO stand for? -
