    As simple as this: I wouldn't have noticed it unless I had read about it here. And the only time I do notice it is when the screen is dark and one color, then there is a faint bit of light coming up about an inch or so. In other words, it isn't a problem at all--at least for my purposes (and I have the matte, btw--I didn't get True Life because I often work in coffeehouses next to sunny windows).

    Overall I love the e1405. Although I'm coming from a four-year old Inspiron 4150, so take that for what its worth. But my only complaints are minor and basically cosmetic: I'm not crazy about the white plastic border, although the rest of it looks nice, and while adequate the mouse buttons are a bit cheap feeling.

    And, being a writer, I like a bit of click in my keyboard :p

    Oh yeah, and it came really fast: I ordered it on the 18th and got it on the 23rd.
