ive had my XPS for about a week now, everything is fine except that sometimes when i turn the computer on in the morning it doesnt load into windows, after the initial startup the screen just goes blank and get stuck there and doesnt load into windows. i had to hold the power button down for 5s to reset the computer. after that all was ok, this has happened at least twice now and this is in a week. im not sure what the problem is.

secondly id like to install a creative audigy zs sound which is PCMCIA, is this possible with this laptop? if so where does it go?

    thanx in advance

I don't think the M1530 supports PCMCIA, it has ExpressCard, which is on the left side of the computer at the front.

As far as the boot freezing, I'd do a low level check and fix of the harddrive and if it doesn't fix it, then completely reinstall the operating system, then if that doesn't fix it, send it back to Dell for replacement.

No problems with the on/off button. I do have to press it a little harder to turn on and feel that "click". No PCMCIA card, has an Express Card which is not compatible.
