Right I had my laptop for 3 days now, all this time I've been trying to tweak vista to make this thing a little bit quicker. It seems that my hard is being accessed nearly ll the time, all indexing off on the hard drive and vista still being accessed, not as much as it was at first though, that was indexing.

    I have a few questions:

1.How many partitions is it possible to have with vista, XP and Media Direct thing? Is it 4?

    2. I haven't done the full system reinstall, just deleted the bloatware, should I do the reinstall to make it a little bit quicker?

    3. I get little, very little electrical shock from case on both vostros, 1700 and 1500. Surely that's not normal.

    5. When playing CSS, I press "W" to go forwards then press left or right at the same time and jump, I stop walking and have to release "W" and then press it again to start walking again, how can fix this? This wasn't a problem on my old toshiba.

    6. Are there any programs specifically designed to work with dell? Like fan and temperature readers. Also any bluetooth management/hack software?

    7. Also is Ubuntu supported I haven't had a chance to get the live CD yet.

    8. When I press next song with media player open and playing a song my Opera window either moves forward one page or the page moves down. Fix for this?

    9. Is it possible to turn the backlight on at all times on the next previous buttons?

    10. I can't think of anymore at the moment but I had a few more.

    Thanks for your help!

Maybe you're more sensitive to it or something, but I don't feel any shock at all. It's odd that you'd feel it from two vostros in a row though. Did you order them at the same time? Could have been shipped with the same shoddy electrifying part from the same factory.

its not good for your manhood having it on your lap.

Its like radiation or summink coming off the laptop into ones manhood does not do you any favours.
