I'm looking into purchasing a Latitude E6400, and it's been brought to my attention that there are some great deals on Dell Outlet.
However, before going that route, I wanted to make sure of a few things:
1) Do refurb models come with OS install discs? Of particular concern is that many E6400's on the outlet are listed as having XP Pro pre-installed, but also come with a Vista Business license. Will I be able to get a Vista Business disc from Dell (free of charge) to take advantage of the license?
2) Earlier, I put a laptop in my cart just for kicks (mainly to check on shipping costs), and it slapped on a rather large tax - $60, to be exact. On the regular Dell site, I can go to checkout and there is no tax whatsoever. Is there any way around this? I figure maybe this is because of an assumption that I'm a small business (since I'm purchasing a business model), when in reality I'm just a consumer who prefers the Latitude features over Inspiron.
3) If anyone is aware of any good current coupons for Dell Outlet, particularly for the Latitude E6400, I'd really appreciate a link!

1) Yes, everything available to a new computer is available for refurb. You'll probably get the disc when you order but if not, a quick Dell support chat and you'll have it in a day or two.
2) You're going to be taxed no matter where you order from...
3) I don't have one, sorry. -
Yes they come with all the discs you would receive with a brand new notebook. If you don't get them, you can get them to send you no problem. You can't avoid taxes if Dell assesses them for your state. Dell gives out coupons from time to time, you can usually find them in the Dell outlet coupon thread when they do come out.

Been thinking about getting a E6400 out of the outlet myself.
