What makes pixels die? I didnt notice it before but i found one last night on my 2 day old laptop. I havent played any games on it yet because its having a problem with creating some file it has to download. Its sad because i just got it, and im going to be sending it back away.

Pixels usually arrive "dead"; they usually don't just "die". It was probably always there and you just didn't know it. Is it dead or stuck? If the latter there is some hope that you can fix it. If Dell will take it back then perhaps you'll have better luck next time.

I believe its dead, its black. Its on the bottom right side of the screen just above the program and tool bar, so its not in the way but its growing on me.
I bought it from the AAFES web site so im sure they will push for it to be taken back. I hate going through stuff like this though, ill make my mind up on it by tomorrow.

Well I know those can get annoying. I had an LG with a dead pixel on the lower right but it wasn't so much the dead pixel as it was that I could tell there was an eyelash stuck between the glass plates for the lcd screen in the upper left corner for the first replacement screen I got. I had them send me another one. I reported it as dead pixels though since they didn't seem to understand what I was referring to.
