    Hey there,

Recently I noticed two of my screws were missing from the bottom of my laptop and I was pretty pissed but never bothered to call Dell to see if they can send out a screw kit or something. One of the screws was a normal screw for the sides of the laptop and one was one of the two HDD screws. Today as I was using my laptop the second HDD screw came out too, and now HDD is pretty much loose if I move the notebook to the right (Will fall out basically).

Anyways, I've been having other problems also with the system (non-technical). I believe Dell builds their systems according to the warranty purchased, my teacher and my friend both have the same notebook as me and theirs are covered with 3 year complete care coverage, and I noticed their notebooks are way more sturdy and built better.

My LCD has some weird bright cloud like marks, I have yet to determine what they're called but they're really annoying. Also my battery latch release switch fell out 20 days after I purchased the laptop.

I want to call Dell but I want to make a strong case against them regarding this, I mean I understand I did not pay for extended warranty or complete care coverage but I expect the system to be at least built well to last me at LEAST one year. I bought this in August so I don't know what to say...

I am even considering selling this and buying a system with complete care but I do not have the money to do so currently.

I would call them and tell them what happend to your notebook and demand it be fixed. They don't build them based on the coverage you probably just got a bad egg, though I'm not saying Dell is quality either.

Any other opinions? I want to call in with a good argument without sounding like an idiot so they don't take advantage of me.
