For some strange reason, the first three front panel buttons of my M1210 has stopped working i.e. Mute, Vol. down, Vol. up. I have tried reinstalling Quickset to no avail.

I haven't installed any new software that I think would cause this problem apart from IconTweaker. Does anyone have a solution?

    Thanks,
    Silent.

Do the function keys for the volume controls work? Does sound play?

Try clicking on the sound icon on the bottom right of your taskbar. It may be hiddent and you'll have to click the arrow. If you open volume controls are you then able to adjust volume?

Sound does play, just those 3 buttons alone refuse to work. When I press anyone of them, the little Quickset balloon pops up but it remains without showing a volume change.

The volume can be adjusted via the sound icon only. I'm thinking is there any other software that controls those 7 front panel buttons other than Quickset?

Problem solved, and not as complicated as I thought.

The custom theme I applied through IconTweaker was the cause of this conflict, so I simply uninstalled the theme. Thanks Metamorphical for your input.
