Hello, I have a dell inspiron 1000 that is only a couple years old. First thing is that if I try to use it with the battery in it it comes to a black screen that says dell and to push F12 the continue, I push it a nothing happens. So I got on my PC and went to dells trouble shooting page and it said to take the battery out and just plug the laptop into the wall. I did that and it worked. Do I need a new battery? My other problem is if I shake the screen of move it back and forth the computer shuts down. Can anyone help me with my problems? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried calling Dell? Running their diagnostics? It's a really obscure problem and it could seriously be anything...
