Could someone please tell me exactly, in inches, how far the battery sticks out from the back of the system? Im buying a notebook case right now and I'm posting from Best buy. The case I have my eye on is 15x11.2 for the notebook compartment with very little stretch.

I'd really appreciate a quick response!

    Thank you,

    IRO

Looks like an inch to me, but heck that's only 1/2 cm off from the earlier est. :)

    Just measured mine.

    Stick out of 9 cell - 7/8" or .875"
    Total width - 11 3/8" or 11.375"

    Hope this helps.

Let me just say... on power saver mode, with this 9-cell battery on the 1520... i get 5-6 hours of battery life, so awesome.

Wow that's amazing! When the screen is flipped open, it's not really noticeable at ALL. It just seems like part of the laptop underneath.

    :)

    So glad I got the 6 + 9 option. :)

This makes me angry that there was no 6+9 option on the EPP site.

Dervis, looking at my 1520 with a 9 cell, it looks nothing like it does in that picture. It definitely looks like it sticks out more. I'll get you some pictures in a moment.

Okay, here we are.. I tried to replicate the side shot like the photo.

Clearly, via these pictures, you can see the difference. In Dervis' picture, the battery's curve has already started from the back edge, but in mine, the battery still has a straight part before the curve begins. Dervis' pictures look like they're from a studio, so who knows what they'll do to make the product look better. ;)

I did a quick analysis of the non-studio picture in mspaint, and the #'s worked out real well. Number of pixels * 0.25 = number of millimeters.

^Yes I noticed I put "cm" isntead of "mm" on the 2nd number. o well :D

Nice, I didn't get the photo straight on though, so it may be off by a little bit, but that sure should help!

Yeah, there is now, but a couple of days ago there wasn't. No worries, when their phones open on Monday I'll call them and ask them to change my order and throw in the 9 cell battery.

There is a 6+9 option on EPP, that's how I ordered mine.

The battery is further away from the camera than the USB ports. :(
