Does anyone know if the ugxa-truelife screen is the same type they are using on the 7000m. After having purchased an Sony Xbrite lcd, It is a requirement on a new notebook.

That's a great question! I've ordered a 9300 with truelife and can't wait to be surprised by the result! matte....glossy...matte...glossy. the suspense is just so exciting!

If it is a matte finish it will not work. After having a glossy type you will not want to go back to a regular matte finish. The xbtite, truebrite, crystal view and brightview screens are stunning. I hope truelife is the same. I have not been able to get a definitive answer from Dell.

I am considering getting either an XPS2 or 9300. I need feedback from you who have have the TrueLife display. It sounds good, but doesn't it have a lot of glare? I will be using my system of long hours of software development, and I'm concerned that glare from ceiling or desk lights will reflect off the screen. Can you tell me anything about your (admittedly subjective) experience that might help me? I'm surprised to hear people saying that they'd never go back to the matte display.

After seeing these type of displays in the store I am also surpried to hear those comments. Do any deskotp LCD displays have a glossy finish or is it just on some laptops at this point.
