I am thinking about getting a 9300 but was wondering about the quality and volume of the internal speakers... Are they clear and reasonable loud? I know they will not be the best sounding speakers due to the size, but I was in BB last night and heard the gateway speakers and I could hardly hear anything but the Toshiba M60's sounded quite good...
I will be mainly listening to music while I work and DVDs when I'm in a hotel room.
I will probably get a set of USB powered external speakers also but sometimes I can forget accessories so the internals might be all I have...
thanks

The 9300 has a small subwoofer on the underside of the system and what a difference that makes!! IT adds a critical octave to the sound, can you jam to these low wattage speakers? Not really but for laptop speakers they are very good, you can always get a pair of cheap speakers to plug into the lappy but overall, you will be quite pleased with them. -
second what conghelach said. i still hear movies fine from 30ft away and the volume's only at 70%

I have yet to find another notebook with a better speaker system

the part i don't like is like for some movies...20% is more than enough..and for other movies...it needs to be at like at LEAST 60% for the volume..what's up with that????!!!!!!
