Hey guy's if this need's to be moved do so im in a hurry. My screen, is screwed up 3/5 of my screen goes heywire into a lcd equivelent of tv snow. Except, it show's dozen's thin to very thick vertical line's in many color's. I cant take a picture right now i dont have a camera with me for 2-3 day's. Moving the screen or taping where your palm rest's trigger's this flurry. Sometime's i have to restart, sometime's i have to tap it a little more, sometime's i have to push the back of the screen or the front for it to return to normal.

From what you're describing, I would be inclined to suspect loose connections and/or palmrest grounding issue (which I've only seen in Toshibas, but I'm sure it happens in Dells, too).

I would call Dell and tell them. It does sound like a short or loose connection. Dell should be able to help you with this. If you say that you need the laptop for use, they will usually ship you a new laptop before you ship back your old one.
