I apologize if this has already been discussed, but I didn't have any luck with searching. My screen has been great so far except for this little problem. Sometimes, when I wake up my machine from hibernation, the screen is off-white, non-transparent. Its acts like the screen is frozen, but the HDD is running. When this happens, I'm forced to reboot since I can't see my desktop or anything. This only has happened when it is booting up from hibernation.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Turn of hibernation. Dells have always had a problem with waking up out of hibernation.

Contol Panel> Power Options> Hibernate tab> uncheck Enable Hibernation.

    That should fix it.

Thanks. I was trying to avoid that, but you confirmed what I thought.

Could also be your firewall too. I know that Kerio Firewalls have this problem on Dells as well cause it did the same thing on my old 8200 until I used Zone Alarm instead

I checked the software in the beginning, and I didn't find anything blocking it. I use all Norton on all 5 of my machines, and this is the first system that I've had this happened to. I'm just stump as to what it is, but according to dell's site, it seems like a lot of people have problems with hibernate.
