Hi, new here and having trouble with an Inspiron 9300. It has the Intel PROset wireless, and I'm having trouble going to web sites using a wireless router. The signal strength is excellent but for some reason, the browser just sits there. I can get to my homepage no problem (Google) but when I try to go anywhere else it just times out. BTW, I've tried it on two different wireless networks with the same result. I also have an Inspiron 1150 that runs fine on this same network. Dell just blames it on my network or my security settings. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Anyone else have this problem or hear about it? The laptop is new but Dell doesn't think there is a problem so I'm stuck!

Have you tried pluggin in your ethernet cable ? This could help determine if it is the card or XP.

    Couple of other suggestions:
1.) update your wifi driver which can be downloaded from support.dell.com
2.) disable all of your firewalls/security options.
