    Hi,

I seem to be having a well-documented problem on my i9300 - the one with the SpeedStep not being able to max out the performance of the CPU after changing the power supply mode.

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;330512 - here is the Microsoft description of the problem. It says inter alia that SP2 is supposed to fix the thing, but no - it does not.

Dell offers its own fixes - http://support.dell.com/support/dow...dhs&releaseid=R56673&formatcnt=1&fileid=67673 for instance this one. But no special fix for i9300.

What should I do? The problem is that after staying in the sleep mode, or after changing the power supply mode (AC/battery) random problems with performace occur. They are only noticable in games, but they are very annoying.

    Hope somebody can help me...

Install the applicable Dell Notebook System Software for your system; also, ensure that your power sheme is not set to "Max Battery".
