My 9300 is on its way with the 256MB of base Dell ram.

I'm looking to order a 1GB stick to add in the second slot (keeping the 256 stick in the machine). I know a lot of people have the following stick:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820208024

But also saw the following Kingston stick for a few bucks more:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820144183

I wanted to confirm that both would work with the 9300 and would work alongside the existing 256MB stick. Which is better in terms of performance?

Any better deals that I'm overlooking?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

some posters on other forums have posted saying that you shouldnt use kingston for some compatibility issue though Im not sure what that might be, I was going to get the kingston but newegg was out of it, I ended up going with a gig stick from tigerdirect.com of OCZ, it works great, cost me 114 with shipping.
I would say OCZ, Crucial, Corsair, Kingston. should all suit your needs very well, I still use the 256 meg stick in slot 2. Plenty of memory for now!!
