I have a 9300 inspiron which occasionally freezes on me in two ways:

Mouse pointer freezes or I get a BSOD...which I have troubleshot over and over again without success...annoying!

The only thing left is to do a rebuild...which I hate doing and not too sure if that would cure the freezes.

Anyway, is it time to get another system?...or will a rebuild do the trick?

I would do a full chkdsk on the hard drive, then do memtest86+ to test for ram errors. If these test out alright, then i would reinstall windows. Last resort should be buying a new system.
