Hi, hoping someone can help my situation. I have a 9300 laptop with the X300 video card. I just purchased a Princeton VL1918 LCD monitor and have it connected DVI to my laptop. The clarity is not that great. I can't get the video properties to adjust to the native monitor display of 1280 X 1024 at 60Hz. The closest I can get is 1280 X 800 at 60Hz. Does that sound like the issue? Is there a way I can set the display to 1280 X 1024? Any other suggestions.

    Thanks in advance!
    Michael

Well it depends on if you have the monitor just on the external, or on the laptop and external. You should be able to get that resolution as long as the external monitor supports it.

Try upgrading the drivers and then just displaying on the external monitor. It should be the FN and F8 keys if I remember correctly. It is the one that is marked with a blue LCD/TV button.

    Hope this helps.
