I got my 9300 on Friday and am so far very pleased with it. I reinstalled WinXP Pro from a retail CD and after getting all the latest drivers from Dell.com I am almost 100%. I still don't see where to get the software for Dell Media Experience. I installed QuickSet and MediaDirect but when I press the media buttons on the front of the laptop I get a message saying that I don't have the Dell Media Experience installed. Anyone know how to fix this ? Thanks in advance.

I wanted to bump this thread and see if anyone else was able to obtain a copy of te Dell Media Experience software? Is it something thats a standalone application on the CD's (if you order them) or is it only able ot be used it its part of the factory re-install.

I got my 700m yesterday (review to come in a few days) - and wanted to do a clean install, but I really like that application and don't want to lose it...

When i got my i9300, i received; Power dvd cd, sonic recording cd,and the wordperfect12 cd. I had to use the dell utilty that makes a backup XP cd. (without the dell software), and the drivers from the resource cd. ......After the reinstall, i had the quickset buttons working but i didnt get that icon that shows me EXACTALLY how much of an adjustment i made in sound, brightness, ...etc. So i reinstalled the quickset and my problem was gone.

I dunno, Ive heard people with XP Pro having issues with reinstallation. (Could be a factor) Maybe just having a peek at "Device manager" (which im sure you've done) and forum searching for XP Pro issues....sorry i couldnt help more. Hopefully this bump helps :)
