I was just reading the 9100 review and came accross this picture.

What is that adapter in the bottom right exactly? In the review I think he says it's a video adapter. It looks like like a three way splitter.
I just ordered a 9100 last night and the Dell salesman was not able to tell me what it was. Said he would get back to me on that.

Also, is this standard for every unit?
    Thanks

    Hi Braiot,

That thing is the S-video out adaptor. Say for example you want to watch a DVD on your widescreen TV at home, but using the DVD in your laptop. This adaptor allows you to connect your laptop to the TV. It is both a video connection and a digital audio out (on my Sony widescreen TV, there is a bay at the front of the TV to allow an S-video in connection, digital audio plus of course the standard video in; the adaptor allows you to connect any one!).

    Congratulations on your 9100!!

    Thanks Magiciaen.
The digital audio is what I was hoping for because I will be hooking the 9100 up to my home theater.
