Hi,
I installed IK8FanGUI on my new i9100 (2.8hgz), and notice the temperature when idle, and the fans are on slow is 52-54 Celcius, and About 46-48 Celcius when the fans are on high. And when im playing a game, it could hit the low 60s.
I also ran SiSoft Sandra, and it says its a Prescot processor which might account for the higher temp. But it still seems that this computer is hotter than it should be.
Just wondering if anyone else has checked their cpu temp? and wut their idle temp is?
Also, is it alright for the computer to have the fans on high all the time? i heard that it sucks in dust, and eventually slows down the system. And dont the fans also wear out eventually?
thank you

yes fans wear out at some point. i cant imagine having them on high all the time is good for it. I have had my 9100 for a week now and the fans have never went on high except for when i was doing a diagnostics test and it was testing the fans lol.
