Well I have been looking to upgrade my 6 cell to the 9 cell because at most I can get 2 hours + on power saver mode. But I am looking to greatly improve that. I am running Vista Premium and Have a intel core duo, a Ati x1400 and thats all the info that should be important to know.
I was going to make a decision based on the consumer reviews on dell but some are
1/5 D3ll iz teh horrible! b@ttetry brokeded.
OR
5/5 THE BEST THING EVER DELL IS AWESOME
SO I would like to ask real people in stead of really on the idiots and trolls on dells review page.
Oh and if you have the 9 cell can you tell me what kinda of battery life you are getting on the 3 different options. (power saver, balanced and High performance)
-
my moms got about the same laptop as you with the 9 cell. cant comment on the battery life though as it rarely (never) leaves the desk.
-
well if you can just unplug it real quick and see how much estimated time it says lol.
-
I think I used to get around 5 hours with my Inspiron 6400 (which is the same model but with integrated graphics), but the battery deteriorated pretty quickly.
-
AH OK. So I would probably get a little worse than that. hm. Well I hope when Win7 comes out they have it better optimized for laptop batteries
-
I bought the 9 cell when I got my E1505 a few years ago and its charge got worse and worse until last year when it wouldn't even hold a charge. Im with a 6 cell right now and its not even noticeable that I have -3 cells
-
I have a 9-cell on my e1505 and I get roughly 45 minutes of battery life under normal usage (web browsing, no music, no CD in drive) with my backlight on the highest setting. Well then again, my battery is 2 years old.
I also never recall getting any more than 3 hours even when it was new, but that's just my experience...
9-cell battery Worth it for Inspiron E1505?
