    9 cell, 6 cell on 1420 and 1520 the same?

    Are the batteries across the Inspiron 1420 and 1520 (and Vostro) the same and interchangeable?

    If so, how much longer is the 9 cell going to last you on the 1420?

    Also, does the 9 cell stick out on the 1520 just as much as on the 1420? I, for one, don't like batteries that stick out.

    I would think not. It doesn't stick out horribly on the 1520 as it is.

    i think the 1520 9cell is a little longer?

    i think dell would have to be stupid to make them different though.

    i remember on the old inspiron 6000 the 9 and 6 cell were the same size.
    One just crammed in 3 cells in the same amount of space, so there was no sticking out at all no matter the size.
