    My config

E1505 with 7200 RPM 60GB hdd, wifi enabled, trulife screen and 9 cell battery.

When fully charged, I when use it at max brightness, the battery completely runs out in 3 hours and 30 to 45 minutes.

I expected the battery to last longer.. any tips and/or ideas?

Can I ask what voltages you used? I'm not at my computer now to check but on a T2500 I have 6x, 7x and 8x at 0.950V and 12x at 1.12V.

Can't remember the rest and I'm not even fully positive that I have the voltage of the highest multiplier correct either.

    Thanks.

At full brightness that is actually a pretty good figure. One of the most power consuming features of a laptop is its display.

What's the video card? If it's a discrete ATI or Nvidia card check out the power saving options in the video card driver and make sure it's set to max power saving mode when on battery.

I am using all default settings. For my ATI X1300 display adapter, I am using the power saving features. When I see the 100% remaining in the taskbar battery notifier, it says 5:30 hours. I am now keeping track of my total usage in minutes till the battery runs out completely.

I also noticed that my wifi is ON. So that is going to have some effect too.

What is the total time for a 9 cell battery to charge from 0 to 100%?

I fully charged the battery and I jumped with joy when I tested the laptop's complete usage time with brightness set at 3/4 and WiFi ON for full time.

The laptop went from 100% to 1% in 4 hours and 40 minutes with this 9 CELL 1 month OLD battery (with no potential issues :) )
