Did anyone else order a 1420 with a 9 cell? Because mine sorta wobbles in the back and its not securely tight. Anyone else have this?

I surfed around a little bit and wasn't able to find anyone else with that problem. Is there any visible problem with the locking mechanism? If so you may want to make a call to tech support. Dell's is 1-800-624-9896. You'll need your express service code if you call. Hope this helps some!

i saw this problem on a macbook once.

the solution was rather silly. But as long as your safe about where you put it, get a small piece of paper, and fold it. place it between the battery and laptop, no where near the connections.

May take some experimenting, but itll get right eventually. Not really a true fix, but if your always gonna have just that battery in there, itll work.
