    If u have a 9 cell battery on the xps 1530 wouldn't it not touch a cooling pad underneath?!?

    Yup. It doesn't, but if air blows from the bottem toward the top.... :D

    Like he said... especially if the fans don't line up like mine doesn't, then it cools better. You want the type of cooler that blows the air up.

    I'm a noob at this cooling stuff...so don't mind these questions...

    1)isn't it better for the fan to directly line up so it can blow air into the vents?

    2)also, i read up some people use non-electrical cooling pads, such as Xpad...do those have any advantage? because using a fan will already take out 1/3 usb slots T_T

    3) Does dell put a " fake battery" into the slot when u first open it? ..im asking this cause to see if theres something to have the laptop more steady when the AC is used instead of the battery
