I just bought a 9 cell battery for my 6400, do i need to get the 90 whr charger to? or can i use the 65 for now?
Also what kind of battery life will i get with this?
Thanks

The standard 65W adapter will be able to charge the 9-cell battery fine. Although the the 90W adapter you will be able to recharge faster.
As for battery life, it depends on the usage pattern. My roommate has the 6400 with the 9-cell, and he can get 4.5 hours of video watching off the HDD with 1/2 screen brightness, WiFi/BT off on a trans-Canada flight easily. I'd say you can easily get 3.5-4 hours with 1/2 screen brightness, and WiFi on browsing the web and doing normal work.
If you run any 3D games on it, expect the batter life to shrink down to 1.5-2 hours with screen brightness all the way up to full (i.e. the worst case battery drain scenario). -
no one can predict what kind of battery life you will get because there are many factors that influence battery life; LCD brightness, wifi on or off, watching a dvd, usb peripherals plugged in, etc.
however, simple math is all you need.
you have a 6 cel and you have a 9 cel. a 9 cel battery has 50% more cels. you will get roughly 50% more life; all things being equal -
ok, thanks
