Does the 8600gt option in the vostro 1500 the DDR2 ram or DDR3 ram? In addition, does adding the 8600gt add HDMI as well?

I would have easily paid another $100 for DDR3 + HDMI.. but I think dell is using that to keep the vostro line below their XPS line in graphic performance.

Really? Not even HDMI? that's kinda sucky. So their Inspirons w/ integrated graphics they have HDMI, but not w/ Vostro? Hmm

Hey do you play games with your lappy?

If you do, let me know what driver your using and how well the games are running. I'm having problems with stuttering on mine when I play Counter Strike Source

Get a new video driver. I am using the 174.31 with no problems.

You can also overclock the video card.

I never tried 174.16, so I don't know. This one is working for me. If that one works, why change it?

Laptopvideo2go updates nearly every day and you will go crazy trying to get the latest and greatest. I read the posts on there to see what the feedback is on the newer ones and if it looks like a decent improvement, then I will change.

I read that the 174.76 is better than the 174.31, but I have not tried it out.
