The Inspiron 8600 does not offer options for the GeforceFX 5200 GOs any more. What could this be signaling?
In my opinion, Dell is either going to add support for new Video Cards to the Inspiron 8600, or they are soon going to be offering a comprable card in another notebook. As of today, there are no mainstream notebooks by dell that have a DirectX 9 compatable card (unless you consider the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 a card), Expect the 6000 to have it's X300 soon in America.
I think dell may be reconsidering the customer that the Inspiron 8600 appeals to also, because it cannot be configed with a Celeron M any more, either. So now it cannot be bought with low end components.

Yes, but I don't think there will be new cards offered for it. I heard it was going to live up to June around summer, something like that...which was when the 8600 and 600m are supposed to be replaced. The 6000 is there though, a replacement to the 5160, which the 600m is the light wireless version of (I think), but the 6000 is also like the 8600 (screen, soon to be dedicated graphics, etc). I don't exactly understand the future of these notebooks, its kind of confusing.
