    8 weeks Lead Times: Dell supplies for TrueLife screens and Webcams

    Well bad luck for me and other guys out there wanting to order Dell laptops. I was almost going to place the order today but I got a call from the Dell India representative and he informed me that Dell's supplies for the Webcams and TrueLife screens are running short and the lead time now if any of you want a Webcam or a high res TrueLife screen is now 8 weeks. That makes my total waiting period to 3 months. INSANE!!!!!!!! They are only offering the matte screen 1280x800 option now. Too bad I didnt place my order earlier.

    GRRR!! This wait is going to be long.

    What about you guys in other countries???

    i just got my lappy and its a matte screen and i have to say i really like it...i actually like it better than my glossy e1405 screen :)

    I don't get the 8 weeks thing... I ordered on the 2nd and it got here today, and I messed with all the specs on the 1721...
